Regulations and Recommendations
- We recommend that at least one support person be present throughout the marathon attempt. This person will keep a log of your meters completed at intervals throughout the marathon and will serve as your witness upon successful completion. This person is also helpful to be there if you run into any trouble or need extra water, and so on.
- You may rest as often as you need to, but we suggest a minimum break of several minutes in each hour of rowing or skiing; you should drink fluids at least every half hour.
- PM2s, PM3s, and PM4s can be pre-set for 42,195 meters and will count down to your finish. This is not possible with PM1s. Visit our Service section for more information or if you're not sure which monitor you have.
- The PM1 (with watch-size batteries) will count up to 9,999 meters and automatically flip over to 0 again, so be sure to keep track of the number of flips you go through. The time will continue counting through all the flips.
Good luck!
