Motivation
|
Need a little extra motivation to put in the meters? We're here to help! Here are a few things that we know work to help people stay motivated. Keep a logbook. Monitoring your progress gives you a tangible record of what you’ve rowed so you can see improvement over time. You can keep a written log or try setting up an Online Logbook. Pick a regular workout time each day/week. Makes it easier to stay on track and helps to create a regular routine. Consider competing in an indoor rowing race. The distance is usually 2000 meters and anyone can participate. If competition is the spice of life for you, read more on the Racing pages of our site. Row with friends. There’s nothing like exercising with friends or a group for camaraderie and sense of a shared goal. If you don’t have access to a support group in your area, try joining a group online with the University and Team Standings. You can also read about what other rowers are doing in our Update newsletter. Row for incentives. Try rowing for the Million Meter Club or Online Challenges. |
